Hello! I'm Taylor, the owner, order packer, social media poster, email-answerer, buyer, photographer, graphic designer, post office regular, & doer of everything at Black Salt. It's a one-woman-show here!

I opened Black Salt in late 2011 with a tiny, hidden boutique in Louisville, KY, & filled the store with apothecary & rock n roll threads from cool labels like UNIF & Lip Service. It eventually grew into an online-based shop with all things '70s inspired, focusing more & more on sustainable brands by the year.

Music & fashion of the '60s through '90s are the biggest inspirations for selecting the items stocked in the shop. We're all about flares, bell bottoms, minis, matching sets, floaty gowns, band tees, & all things faux fur, velvet, & corduroy!

Black Salt is for the babe who's a lil bit psychedelic Hendrix, a lil bit witchy Stevie Nicks, who's always dressed like they're headed to a Stones concert in '75. For Jim Morrison's 20th century foxes living in the 21st century.

As The Beatles say, the Magical Mystery Tour is waiting to take you away. Get ready to hop in the time machine because groovy '70s vibes are right this way!
