I'm Taylor: the owner, buyer, social media poster, email-answerer, photographer, graphic designer, post office regular, & doer of everything at Black Salt. It's a one-woman-show here. If you submit an order, I'll be the one excitedly packing it up and writing a big "thank you!" on the invoice.

I opened Black Salt in 2011 with a tiny boutique in Louisville, KY, & filled the store with apothecary & rock n roll-inspired threads. It eventually grew into an online-based shop, focusing more & more on ethical and sustainable brands by the year.

I have a sweet, very attached blue dog named Orko, who sometimes sneaks her way into photos.

Music & fashion of the '60s through '90s are the biggest inspirations for selecting the items stocked in the shop. If you see a lot of '90s-inspired velvet stuff, it probably means I was listening to a lot of Portishead and Garbage.
